You can stop wondering now

I totally agree with my husband. I don't have a problem with his stand for Christ. He is doing what he does best

following God's commandments.

I am very confident in my husband's love for me. I feel 100% assured that he loves me the way God commanded him to do in his word.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.

Ephesians 5:25

When we love God the way we should we have a desire to get closer to Him. I can't compete with the love that Pastor Jones has for God. As we get closer to God we then get closer to our mates. How can I expect him to love me as Christ loved the church if he doesn't love God more. He can only love me the way Christ loved the church by being obedient to God first.

He must do what God wants him to do!

I was given to him to be a helpmate not a hinderance. I don't ever want to stand in between him and God. To answer his question

How deep is your love?

My love for my husband is deep enough to know my place in his heart. Deep enough to allow him to be all he can be in God first. When I do this he can then love me the way he should. When we both are being obedient to God and putting Him first in our lives, we can then love each other the way God ordained husbands and wives to love.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Ephesians 5:21

If we submit to each other and fear God we will keep his first commandment

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 20:3

"That includes your mate"

When we put God first in our lives everything else falls into place.

First Lady Maria L. Jones
